ASOS Pleat Swing Front Coat

ASOS Pleat Swing Front Coat

I’ll admit it; I’m the girl who’s always cold. And since I’m always cold, I’m eternally on the look out for a chic coat that can work as a stand-alone ensemble. Should I go to a venue too cold to reveal my outfit underneath, a classic coat has got me covered. That’s why I love the ladylike shape and fun pop of color this coat brings to the table, from the always classic ASOS Collection. The sweet pleats, funnel neck, and large buttons are just the right amount vintage and whimsy. Let frigid weather hold your style back no more.

Club Monaco Stephanie Striped Skirt

Club Monaco Stephanie Striped Skirt

I don’t care if navy and white nautical stripes are reserved only for summer, I just wear what I want. If you love rocking nautical-inspired stripes all year long like me, you might also like this take on the nautical classic combo in this skirt by Club Monaco. Navy compliments so many other fall hues like burgundy, burnt sienna, and cognac, which make this skirt so perfect for those slightly warmer fall days where you can get away with showing a little leg. I also love the slim fit and slightly frayed hem which make this a perfectly flirty skirt suitable for a night out as well. There’s just so much versatility in this piece – well done Club Monaco.

Zara Combined Leather Jacket

zara combined leather jacket

I’m going to start this post with a warning… I spent 2.5 hours in Zara last night, I am absolutely obsessed with their fall collection, and the next few OMG’s from me will all be top of my Zara most wanted list! If Burberry and Harley Davidson had a love child, it would be this jacket. I’m totally in love with the edgy leather look with the classic wool peacoat twist. It’s such a creative idea! I’ve seen this combo before, but never in a trench style. It was comfortable, not too heavy and although looks kinda boxy in these photos, fit really well. I can NOT wait to own this jacket!

Houndstooth Haze Scarf

Houndstooth Haze Scarf

Some may swear by leopard print, however houndstooth is one pattern that will never get old for me. Not sure you can rock the classic stark black and white pattern? Take a look at this soft-focus houndstooth scarf from contemporary preppy chic-brand Madewell. This scarf is wool yet appears semi-thin, allowing for much outfit versatility, especially in this delicious mocha shade. Today is the first rainy day of many as a storm hits the Bay Area, so it’s the perfect time to bundle up and break up a drab rain-ready outfit with a nice printed scarf.

Camel Double Breasted Wool Cape

Camel Double Breasted Wool Cape

I’m on the market for a cape and after much combing on the internet, I find I’m really drawn to the military-inspired styles. Topped with epaulets, brass buttons, and a military collar, this cape from Ambition has detail and hardware more reminiscent of a trench than a poncho or shawl. I hope I can still fit in juniors sizes since this wonderful cape is also affordable, as it hails from Nordstrom’s Brass Plum department. Given the retailer’s generous return policy, I will buy my first cape with utmost confidence. Should it not work out, you can find me in the shoe department.
