BCBGMAXAZRIA Moss Chiffon ‘Bessie’ Pintucked Tunic Blouse

BCBGMAXAZRIA Moss Chiffon 'Bessie' Pintucked Tunic Blouse

One of my favorite trends right now is colored denim, and while I’m slowing growing my collection of bright and pastel statement jeans, I now need neutral tops more than ever to pair them all with. I love this slate grey tunic by BCBGMAXAZRIA because it’s the perfect mate for bright pants. The fit is super casual yet the pintuck details make it so proper, and the details are very subdued . Seems like the perfect top blouse to throw on over a plain cami with said colored denim, and you’re out the door. Buying this in the two available colors may be the solution to me missing that bus in the morning so frequently. A lovely staple piece that will work with so many things.

There’s nothing I love more than a great tunic, really. I work from home several days a week and I need something to wear thats comfy but easily styled up with a blazer and baubles for my lunch/coffee dates! I think the sheer aspect is really beautiful and definitely a trend to watch out for this spring. What can I say, Topshop you always know what I need!

Sequin-Embellished Crepe Dress

Sequin-Embellished Crepe Dress

Although I feel we’ve featured a lot of sequinned pieces lately, there was something about this Vince number I couldn’t quite escape from posting about. Perhaps it’s the relaxed, t-shirt style fit, or the always classic, sparkling gold sheen. Whatever the case, I think this tunic is a perfect style for any body type, and is an instant classic paired with opaque black tights and booties, perfect for you guessed it, New Years Eve! Dress up with a top knot and ornate chandelier earrings, or down with a mens watch and a clutch outfitted in rugged hardware. I mean, you really just can’t go wrong with this dress.

Whatever you wear out tomorrow night, be sure to have a happy and safe New Years! Thanks for making 2011 our busiest blog year yet. We’ll see you back here in 2012.

Ginger Long Sleeve High Neck Tunic

Ginger Long Sleeve High Neck Tunic

Now that Thanksgiving’s over, it’s time to start planning for our December holidays and respective soirées. While you may opt for the more festive party dress (this is a prime example), here’s a sexy bodycon tunic alternative you can wear now and practically year-round. The open floral knit sleeves offset the high neck and mini hemline, which will look killer dressed up with opaque tights (dark gray control top is my best pick) and platform heels. Grab long chain pendant necklace, a few cocktail rings, a trench and you’re out the door and on your way. I’ll take it navy, please.

Say it with me now… Fall Staple! Having that great go to slouchy sweater tunic is the answer to all your prayers when it comes to freezing cold, gray, don’t want to get out of bed mornings. Dress it up with a long statement necklace, some leggings and boots or wear it comfy and casual with your favorite skinny jeans and flats.
