As I mentioned a few days ago, Mallory and I are attending Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball tonight with our friends at Skype, so naturally all that’s been on my mind is what studded, chained, and other ridiculously awesome accessories I’m going to wear to the show. If I owned this Rebecca Minkoff studded chain wallet, it’d definitely be a part of my outfit. Mint seemed to be the color of spring and everyone’s pastel of choice for the last three years, and I’m admittedly still obsessed. This piece is dainty yet fierce, kind of like me, so I just have to have it!

The weather here doesn’t exactly adhere to what the position of the sun tells our section of the hemisphere to do during those things we call “seasons.” Summer in San Francisco is a bit like fall, so fall boots are already on my brain. These Jeffrey Campbell boots are a Free People exclusive style and I’m going to find it hard to pass these bad boys up.  The Hunter Stud Boot features an exaggerated tongue, oversized buckles, and huge flaps that are entirely stud-encrusted. What’s even cooler is these boots are actually studded by-hand, so I’d imagine each pair is slightly unique. I love the look of these edgy boots – they’re that attention-grabbing piece you’ll be glad you bought as they were released as limited edition.

Times are tough, and while I love shopping at large department stores for the great reward and loyalty programs to benefit myself, I also love supporting independent designers and craft makers where my purchase really benefits the artist behind it. Next to fashion, one of my other passions in life is food, so naturally I had to share these adorable handmade studs I came across, made after one of my favorite sweet treats; the red velvet cupcake! These molded polymer clay studs are itty bitty at just 1cm tall, fixed on a surgical steel post, and are perfectly discreet if you want to rep your love of sweets but not look too childish at your day job (not that there’s anything wrong with that!).
