Pin-up Darling Soiree Crochet Dress Top

Pin-up Darling Soiree Crochet Dress Top

Have you ever seen a lace pattern so lovely? Somewhere between the retro days of classic pin-up starlets and the present, you find this sheer party frock by Pin-up Darling. Founded in 2011, Pin-up Darling is an indie clothing brand inspired by the charming ’40s and ’50s style era, yet still has a wearable vibe that fits with today. I’m pretty much in love with everything they carry, but this dress really caught my eye as one of the most unique designs from the brand. Since it is a crochet style, you will need to wear a slip underneath, but that’s where you can get creative with it. Layer it with a black slip for an elegant look, or a nude slip for a flirty boho look; either way you can reinvent it with accessories fit for each occasion. So many soirees, so little time!

p.s. it seems to be the perfect tunic length, so depending on your height, you could wear this as either a dress or top!

Maybelline ColorSensational Color Whisper in Cherry On Top

Maybelline ColorSensational Color Whisper in Cherry On Top

Somewhere between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm exists the new Maybelline Color Whispers. Part of the ColorSensational line, these lip products are a sheer lipstick that feels like a lip butter, which I’ve found even produce a mild stain. While I’ve been cutting back on my overall spending on makeup recently, I’ll pick up a new product every so often, especially if it’s currently being raved about within the beauty blogger community. This was the case for this product, so I chose Cherry on Top as my first shot at this product and I have to say I’m absolutely loving it. If you’re familiar with the Revlon Lip Butters, the consistency of the Color Whispers are ever so slightly lighter. Granted, I’ve only tried one color of each line, I think I prefer the Color Whispers because they are a little bit more comfortable to wear and Cherry on Top leaves my lips with a faint pinky red stain for several hours. If you love lip color, but hate that it’s sometimes a pain to wear, you have to check out this line and experiment with some of the deeper reds, fuchsias, and magentas. I think this product will easily convert strictly lip balm lovers into lip color-wearing junkies. Give it a try next time you’re at the drugstore!

Dior Addict Lip Glow

Dior Addict Lip Glow

My collection of Dior skin care and cosmetics is growing and I think the next addition has to be the Dior Addict Lip Glow. This luxurious lip balm delivers a glossy sheer wash of color that hydrates for hours. What’s really interesting about this product is that it’s formulated with “color reviver technology” to react with the chemistry of your lips, creating a custom shade of pink. So what it might look like on me could look pretty different from what it looks like on you. I switch out my lip balms every couple months just so they don’t too accustomed to any one product, so I’m really interested in trying the Dior Addict Lip Glow out next.

OASAP Polka Dot Flouncing Zipped Dress

OASAP Polka Dot Flouncing Zipped Dress

How darling is this dress? I’m currently fawning over this affordable find from OASAP, featuring a flouncy shape, sweetheart neckline, and flirty sheer sleeves. I love this type of LBD because it’s something you can easily reinvent with accessories and the seasons. Mix with colored tights, riding boots, or a metallic belt for something a little more fall-inspired, and pair with a wide-brimmed hat, sunnies, or a casual messy fishtail braid in the spring.
