Miranda Kerr’s “Joyce Dartry” Park Print Dress by Erdem

Miranda Kerr's "Joyce Dartry" Park Print Dress by Erdem

We don’t feature celeb looks on OMG all that often, but we just can’t get over how darling Miranda Kerr is in this prim sheath dress. This floral dress by Erdem is fit for both bridal showers on the veranda, brunches in the garden, and maybe even tea with the Queen. The intricate summery floral print has a mixture of black, blue, pink, and white that will beautifully compliment both silver and gold jewelry or accessories. While I don’t have the body of a VS Angel or runway model, I do think many body types can pull off fitted or tailored variations of the sheath dress, especially since the print is so busy. Obviously perfect for the day, but also fun for nigh whent edged up with bold accessories.

West Village Fete Dress

West Village Fete Dress

Thinking about wearing this dress on New Years Eve? Color me green with envy. It’s been a while since I’ve written about a one-shoulder dress, so let’s drool over this one together in this week’s edition of Modcloth Monday. This dress, which pays homage to one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC, incorporates a simple but chic sheath shape with a solid sequin weave throughout. The gorgeous emerald-peridot shade makes for a more subdued dazzle, whereas a gold or silver solid sequin dress may be for the more bold to pull off, but the green really gives you some room to play with shiny accessories and shoes. You may very well find me on NYE in this dress, paired up with metallic peep-toe pumps and elegant drop earrings. Only if Santa brings me a Modcloth gift certificate, that is.

It may be barely past Halloween, but I’m already looking ahead for holiday parties, shopping and all the fabulous outfits to plan for. Coated in shimmering paillettes (sequins’ sparkly older sister), this glittering sheath dress has a slim fit, v-neck, and 3/4 length sleeves, which gives it an overall classy feel, making it atop my holiday wardrobe wishlist. I can already see this pairing well with dark British Racing Green nail polish and plum lips, or black suede pumps and simple onyx jewelery, what about you?
