Dorothy Perkins Black Aztec Crossover Dress

Dorothy Perkins Black Aztec Crossover Dress

There are few pieces more versatile than a wrap dress; they can just be worn so many different ways! I’m currently loving this one by Dorothy Perkins, and I’m learning to find there isn’t a thing yet I don’t love from this label. The poly fabric on this dress features an Aztec-inspired zig-zag pattern which is broken up by a skinny brown belt. I’m headed to NYC this weekend for the annual BlogHer conference and this dress would be absolutely perfect to wear paired with a classic blazer or denim jacket, crossbody purse, and sandals, chic enough for those long conference days and even longer nights. Too late to order it now, but it’ll definitely work for countless other occasions working well into fall. How cute would this be with tights and tall brown boots? Am I right?

Diane von Furstenberg Kimono Romper

Diane von Furstenberg Kimono Romper

We’ve had quite the nice weather streak in the Bay Area as of late, and all I can think of is my next getaway to the beach. I just came across this lovely DVF romper which is the perfect beach coverup, and it’s even 50% off! I love the mix of geometric and organic prints, and of course, it’s in my favorite color, orange. Pairs perfectly with sunnies, a straw tote and those DVF Opal wedges the model has on. Scoop up this summer essential before it sells out!

Diane von Furstenberg Laramie Maxi Dress

Diane von Furstenberg Laramie Maxi Dress

This DVF maxi dress has been seen everywhere lately– retailer newsletters, fashion blogs, banner ads – and  there’s something telling me I just have to have it! The color and tribal print of this maxi are just so on point, as DVF always seems to nail. I must also add that I’m digging the 3/4 length sleeves which are nicely offset by a flirty slit up the side of the skirt. It’s quite refined too, made of silk and featuring a casual self-tie belt, the collar and buttons can be closed up or worn open to better suit the occasion. Oh Diane, why must you always do summer resort so well?

Parker Tie Front Maxi Dress in Coral Zig Zag

Parker Tie Front Maxi Dress in Coral Zig Zag

There’s nothing quite like a printed maxi dress that exudes boho chic. I adore this one from Parker in an organic zig zag print incorporating shades of coral, brown, off white and cobalt. This dress made of 100% silk features an adorable neck tie detail and elasticated waist, which give the bohemian frock a finished look. I’d love to see this rocked with bangles, a headband and summery loose waves. Very much à la Nicole Richie or Vanessa Hudgens!

Nicole Miller African Oblong Scarf

Nicole Miller African Oblong Scarf

Something about this scarf stopped me immediately in my websurfing tracks. Maybe it’s that I have a need for more color in my drab winter wardrobe? Or perhaps it’s my obsession with scarves in general? This 100% silk scarf from Nicole Miller is just the right part geometric and the right part abstract. I say that because flattened out or folded strategically in a certain way, it appears very symmetrical and exact, whereas looped around the neck and tied in a knot, it appears very complex and intricate. Slightly reminiscent of a traditional African kente cloth, I absolutely love the bright pops of magenta, pale pink, marigold, and cornflower blue. I guarantee this is a scarf you’ll receive compliments on and an endless begging of the question, “where did you get that at?”

Secret Krush Corner Heidi Dress

Secret Krush Corner Heidi Dress

For anyone not quite ready to rock a loud print or a bold floral, I think I’ve found the perfect subtle spring print dress to recommend to you; it’s the Heidi Dress by Secret Krush Corner. It’s a gorgeous pinky-nude shade with a hunter green geometric print that isn’t too bold and can easily be accessorized many different ways. It just screams boho chic paired with brown leather sandals,  gold cuffs, and a fishtail braid, but it could also go business casual with a navy blazer, loose curls, and silver jewelry. The length is just right and it looks like the ultimate comfy cut. Note the belt is not included, but that just gives you the opportunity to tailor it to your own personal style.

Safari, So Near Scarf

Safari, So Near Scarf

It’s time for another Modcloth Monday, and I’m here to share with you one of my favorite recent scarf finds. This safari-inspired scarf by Modcloth is perfect for creating a layered look, being a little larger and on the sheer side, it can be looped around the neck several times or thrown on as a shawl. I love the navy trim offset by the vibrant red-orange, and the peek of zebra stripes that are not overly in-your-face like many animal print accessories can be. Scarves are a fashion staple for me all year round, and I just know this will look just as great over LWDs and khaki shorts in the summer as it will on my camel sweaters and muted blouses in the winter.
