A fantastic way to wear a dress but not show too much skin is choosing something with a high-low hem. This dress from Pink Rust Boutique is a prime example! The cascading ruffles and high-low cut of the skirt  give it the right amount of flirt and movement. It shows just the right amount of bare leg and leg behind a sheer veil of fabric. The braided empire waistline and braided sash also give this dress a Grecian vibe and a nice, refined touch. I also love that it’s a one shoulder style, perfect for showing off a sunkissed glowy collarbone and décolleté. Let us not forget the gorgeous navy color that isn’t your typical spring color, but is at the heart of all things nautical. Can’t you just imagine wearing this on a yacht somewhere? I can, dipped in gold accessories, wearing a floppy hat, with a glass of white wine in hand. I absolutely adore this piece and think it’ll work for so many occasions all spring and summer long. Thinking about wearing this dress on New Years Eve? Color me green with envy. It’s been a while since I’ve written about a one-shoulder dress, so let’s drool over this one together in this week’s edition of Modcloth Monday. This dress, which pays homage to one of my favorite neighborhoods in NYC, incorporates a simple but chic sheath shape with a solid sequin weave throughout. The gorgeous emerald-peridot shade makes for a more subdued dazzle, whereas a gold or silver solid sequin dress may be for the more bold to pull off, but the green really gives you some room to play with shiny accessories and shoes.
