Cosmedica Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Cosmedica Skincare Hyaluronic Acid Serum

We’ve all heard it time and time again, keeping your skin hydrated is best thing you can do for your overall skin health. It’s even easier than avoiding the sun, or remembering to wear and reapply SPF. If you haven’t already heard, hyaluronic acid is a wonderous humectant, a compound that powerfully draws in moisture from the environment. It can hold 1000 times its weight in water and it naturally occurs in various human tissue for lubrication and hydration purposes. But sometimes our bodies could use a little extra serving of this magical stuff, and it’s great to get in a serum as one of the first skin products that touch and sink into your bare skin. This Hyaluronic Acid Serum by Cosmedica Skincare is by far one of the most affordable and 100% pure options I’ve found. It’s made in America and is completely paraben-free; with no added fragrances, oils, or fillers. Hyaluronic acid can help promote skin elasticity and boost collagen production, while obviously adding hydration by helping your skin retain more moisture. It can overall help the appearance of your skin in texture and complexion evenness, so I absolutely think this is something everyone can incorporate in their routine. It’s such an easy small step to take to achieve brighter, more beautiful, and well hydrated skin. I already take HA supplements daily, but I think switching to this serum is the more economical way to go.

Younique Mineral Eye Shadow Pigment

Younique Mineral Eye Shadow Pigment

If you’ve read my other blog or watch my YouTube channel at all, you’ll know I’m in the process of cutting chemicals and other harmful ingredients out of my beauty routine. I recently discovered these high impact pigment shadows by Younique that are 100% natural and mineral based which I definitely want to make some space for in my collection. They are talc and paraben free, as well as free of so many other harmful things we don’t need to be putting on our faces. What’s really awesome is that there are so many vibrant and neutral pigment colors perfect for every level of makeup fan. I’m lusting after the pigment in Sexy, a beautiful shimmery champange shade that I could easily wear every day, and given these pigments are long wearing and sweat-proof, I probably would. Also, pigment eye shadow no longer means only shimmery and sparkly finishes; don’t overlook Younique’s selection of gorgeous matte pigments. The shades Beautiful and Vulnerable are my favorites and would be an excellent pairing with Sexy.  Lastly, with pigments you have the option of wearing them wet or dry, which can yield two totally different looks from just one pigment. Talk about bang for your buck!

Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin Daily Pore Scrub

Yes To Tomatoes Clear Skin Daily Pore Scrub

Let’s be honest: affordable natural skin care products are hard to come by. Yes, it was much more difficult years ago, but now consumers have told brands what they want and natural products are much more easier to come by at stores like Walgreens, Target, or even Walmart. Yes To is one of my favorite natural skin care lines for products that are good for you, good to the environment, easily accessible, and affordable for everyone. I recently tried a sample packet of this Yes To Tomatoes scrub and it might be my new overall drugstore fave. It contained fine circular granules in a runny jelly solution that worked fabulous as a gentle exfoliant, mild enough for most people to use every day. Formulated with ingredients to treat acne like salicylic acid, other ingredients like ginger root and bisabolol help reduce redness; both major skin concerns in my world. The product is also cruelty free and paraben free; two necessary criteria items for most of the products I buy these days.

Befine Warming Clay Mask

Befine Warming Clay Mask

I’ve been a little face mask crazy lately, trying out a different renewing peel-off mask, hydrating sheet mask, or detoxifying clay mask every other night. I recently raved about this stand-out mask by natural skincare brand, Befine, in my February Empties video because this was an unexpected delight. The thick, chunky paste of clay, cardamom, arnica, and pomegranate warms immediately once spread over the skin and it really feels like it’s cleaning deep down into your pores. Likewise, the consistency is of a thick, moisturizing, and nourishing clay that feels like it detoxifies the skin without leaving it stripped or overdried. I also love that this product has an allergen free fragrance and is totally paraben free. It’s suitable for all skin types and uses no animal testing. This is hard product to find, but definitely worth searching for and trying out. Feels like a spa-worthy facial mask at home!

Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cream Cleanser

Korres Milk Proteins Foaming Cream Cleanser

I can’t believe I haven’t yet written about this product as I’ve been raving about it for months over on my YouTube channel. This fabulous cream cleanser by Korres foams up to a rich, luxurious lather, but doesn’t contain any harmful sulfates or parabens usually found in products that foam and lather up well. I love how it works with my Clarisonic Mia to remove my makeup and give my skin a deep cleaning every night. The scent is light and milky, with subtle notes of vanilla and lavender, which is soothing and spa-like. The cleanser leaves my face feeling smooth and clean, but not overly stripped or tight. A little bit goes a long way too, so I find it totally worth the $21.
