Maybelline ColorSensational Color Whisper in Cherry On Top

Maybelline ColorSensational Color Whisper in Cherry On Top

Somewhere between a lipstick and a tinted lip balm exists the new Maybelline Color Whispers. Part of the ColorSensational line, these lip products are a sheer lipstick that feels like a lip butter, which I’ve found even produce a mild stain. While I’ve been cutting back on my overall spending on makeup recently, I’ll pick up a new product every so often, especially if it’s currently being raved about within the beauty blogger community. This was the case for this product, so I chose Cherry on Top as my first shot at this product and I have to say I’m absolutely loving it. If you’re familiar with the Revlon Lip Butters, the consistency of the Color Whispers are ever so slightly lighter. Granted, I’ve only tried one color of each line, I think I prefer the Color Whispers because they are a little bit more comfortable to wear and Cherry on Top leaves my lips with a faint pinky red stain for several hours. If you love lip color, but hate that it’s sometimes a pain to wear, you have to check out this line and experiment with some of the deeper reds, fuchsias, and magentas. I think this product will easily convert strictly lip balm lovers into lip color-wearing junkies. Give it a try next time you’re at the drugstore!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

It’s summer, you’re busy, and you simply don’t have time to reapply your makeup. I know the feeling, girl! That’s why I’m totally obsessed with this new drugstore lip stain product that actually works! Part balm and part stain, Revlon’s Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain is a chubby pencil that applies with ease over your lips and leaves a moisturizing and minty sensation behind. The color is long-wearing and lightweight, never leaving your lips dry or cracked as many long-wearing lip products formulas may cause. What’s also convenient is the pencil is a simple twist up tube, so no sharpening is necessary. Cherish, the bubblegum pink shade, is already a permanent makeup bag fixture even though I’ve only owned this item a few days. Why? Because I have plenty of other things to worry about than reapplying my lip color. Unless I’m applying it while running out the door to catch my bus into the city at 7am.
