MAÉST Lilies Silk Satin Kaftan

MAÉST Lilies Silk Satin Kaftan

Have you ever seen a more regal piece? Neither have we! Whether you’re partying poolside or at a fabulous evening gala later this summer, a kaftan is always a show stopping number, especially in a bold and colorful print. This one by designer MAÉST is no short of stunning. It’s handmade and designed in Germany with 100% silk-satin. What’s even more special is the story behind the brand, founded by two sisters earlier this year with roots in Prague, Czech Republic and Munich, Germany. Creative director Marketa Schroll weaves together influences from folklore of the region, as well as color palettes and motifs from the Art Nouveau era. Each MAÉST piece is handmade with premium materials, like silk, jacquard, and cotton, and even handmade embroidery. They are made with extreme care and in super limited quantities, so each garment is truly a work of wearable art. The brand also makes gorgeous dresses, trousers, blouses, scarves, and other accessories, providing luxury at a variety of price points. If you love feminine and stylish silhouettes worthy of royalty, this is the emerging premium designer brand for you.

Montecristi Hats

Montecristi Hats - Panama Hats

If you’re like me, then you’ve got travel on your mind. I honestly have it on my mind 24/7, but especially now thinking of summery and warm destinations where I can switch up my style and wear outfits I wouldn’t normally wear at home. One hat that is synonymous with warm destinations are Panama Hats, which I only recently learned aren’t even necessarily unique to Panama. The hat has an interesting history related to a very famous photo of President Teddy Roosevelt at the Panama Canal wearing a distinctive hat, but in fact the hat was a Montecristi hat hailing from Ecuador. Obviously since the opening of the Panama Canal was such a monumental historical event, the context of the hat got lost in the mix. The Montecristi hat is made of toquilla straw which grows in Ecuador, and is handmade by artisans in Ecuador in the province of Manabi. Name aside, I can’t think of a better hat for a warm destination. You can wear the Montecristi hat with a suit, sundress, bikini, or literally anything else. Somehow, someway, they can look dressy and casual at the same time. Men and women look equally fabulous in them. Depending on your budget, Ecuadorian Hands offers a huge variety of Montecristi hat styles, trims, and weave quality, giving you truly the exact hat you’re dreaming of. They also come in a variety of natural colors and even pastel shades. Whether you go for something classic or something more ornate, I can’t think of a better pieces to finish off an outfit. And by the way, these hats ship free anywhere in the world!

One Tribe Apparel Womens Harem Pants

One Tribe Apparel Womens Harem Pants

Let’s be honest, after the holidays it’s hard to fit into those skinny jeans and bodycons, so leggings, dresses, and harem pants are garments in heavy rotation. For womens harem pants that make a statement, look no further than One Tribe Apparel. These eco- and globally-conscious pants hail from Chiang Mai, Thailand, where they’re made with love, and never mass produced. They’re handstitched by hand from quality fabrics, featuring gorgeous bohemian colors and prints. Because I tend to wear a lot of solid tops, these vibrant harem pants are perfect because they can bring a casual outfit together with minimal thinking. I’d wear them when lounging at home, trekking through airports and train stations, or on the way to weekend coffee or yoga. It’s much more fun instead of my typical black on black fit. Be sure to follow One Tribe Apparel on Instagram for even more outfit inspo and yoga pics, and don’t miss these unique harem pants! They are a must for your casual day wardrobe.

Gipsy Dharma Black Knee High Leather Boots

Gipsy Dharma Black Knee High Leather Boots

If you haven’t heard of GiPSY Dharma boots before, you must not read this blog because I’m a huge fan and have written several pieces on them in the past. Their signature unique knee high leather boots are handmade and are the conversation piece of your outfit, whether you’re going to a music festival, event, or taking them out on the town. Heading into fall, there are countless shades of neutrals and jewel tones you could go with, but for the sake of this blog post I wanted to feature their classic black leather version. The black moccasin style boot is boho but with a gothic edge.  As I’ve mentioned before in other blog posts, since the leather is super supple and the boot shaft is totally lace-up, Gipsy Dharma boots form to your individual shape and give you a really comfortable wear. While everyone is busting out their biker and riding boots this fall, take an edgier route and go with a statement boot like this!

Gipsy Dharma Leather Skirts

Gipsy Dharma Leather Skirts

Our friends at Gipsy Dharma have done it… they’ve expanded their line of fine handmade leather boots to leather skirts! I was always curious about these skirts pictured with the boots and now they’re finally available for sale! Priced at £119, these skirts are truly one-of-a-kind as they’re hand dyed and made by hand. The soft and supple leather feels like a second skin, while still being plenty breathable, which will contour slightly to your body shape over time. They come in one size fits all since there’s an adjustable fastening that works with many body shapes. The seams and band are delicate, yet the leather is high quality and durable. Perhaps what I love most is the asymmetrical hemline, which is super cute with the right amount of body and texture. Also, there is literally a color for everyone, from metallic to tie-dye, antiqued to glossy. I find these would look best worn with the coordinating lace up boots the indie label is best known for, but also other knee highs or mid-calf boots like classic Fryes. We’ve raved about Gipsy Dharma’s iconic boots twice before on this blog, so be sure to check out those posts here and here, for plenty of summer music festival outfit inspiration. And let us also not forget, while these come from the UK they are available for purchase worldwide!
