Dior Hydra Life Pro-Youth Sorbet Creme

Dior 'Hydra Life' Pro-Youth Sorbet Creme

Over the years, I’ve started to invest more in skincare and pay more attention to the ingredients I’m putting on my face and body. Last year I tried this Dior cream moisturizer, and I’m afraid there’s no looking back. This face cream is super light yet super hydrating, so my skin drinks it right up. As someone with combination to oily skin, this is a face cream I can use both during the day and at night and in hot and cold seasons. I also love the fact that this product is paraben, sulfate, phthalates, and GMO free,  which is really important since I’m trying to rid my skin care routine of harmful chemicals. This is a luxurious face cream that costs a bit more than average, but really works wonders. I’m hooked!

Ole Henriksen Fresh Start Eye Creme

Ole Henriksen Fresh Start Eye Creme

I’ve been waiting for this product to come around for a long time. You know, the new product that reinvigorates your skin, freeing you from the dulling skincare routine you can fall into over time. I loved my prior eye cream but Ole Henriksen’s Fresh Start Eye Creme was the first I’ve tried that actually made a noticeable difference in my skin after just a single use. The formula is extremely rich yet still lightweight, and it absorbs quickly into the skin. After just one application of this ultra-hydrating product, I felt the delicate skin around my eyes noticeably firm up and become tighter (in a good way!), which continued to improve the more I used it. This product is also paraben, sulfate, and phthalates free, so I’m really intrigued to try the rest of the Ole Henriksen skincare line if everything else is this effective and lacks those harmful chemicals.

David Lerner Strapless Dress with Leather Panel

David Lerner Strapless Dress with Leather Panel

It’s been a while since I’ve featured a little black dress, so I thought I’d have a go with this gorgeous one by David Lerner that I stumbled across on Shopbop. This LBD has a central leather panel, in either a cream or black shade, which gives this piece so much versatility. Play up the leather with studded accessories, strappy heels and a metallic clutch, or play it down with pavé hoop earrings, a top knot and a frilly bolero. Whichever color combo you prefer for the occasion, this dress is a solid collection for anyone to have on hand in their wardrobe.

Cotton Crochet Tiered Short

Cotton Crochet Tiered Short

I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve worn anything Wet Seal, but they have always been a great place to score trendy bargain pieces, so they’re definitely worth popping into or surfing over to every once in a while. Speaking of bargains, take for instance these 100% cotton crocheted shorts I just stumbled upon. Fist off, these are nearly identical to these shorts by Aqua that are 3x the price. Way to go WS! But not only are they affordable, these shorts are super versatile, being chic and ladylike, they will prove relevant and attractive for many seasons to come. I would love to see this paired with a bright off-the-shoulder top, wedges, chain strapped bag, and these shades. Feminine but edgy, just like me.

Classic Movie Night Sweater

Classic Movie Night Sweater

Chilly winter nights have set in here in Northern California, and this weather calls for lots and lots of cozy sweaters. One style of sweater I particularly love are cowl necks and ones with 3/4 length sleeves for and overall relaxed yet finished look. In today’s edition of Modcloth Monday, I’ve picked a sweater perfect for both running weekend errands and a lazy night in (and the piece is aptly named so). But especially after Thanksgiving and the holidays and parties to come laden with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, I’m especially thankful for this sweater’s forgiving fit and loose lower hemline. I’d be even more thankful if I could have it in a few different colors (psst… Modcloth!).

Happy Cyber Monday!
