Burberry Rain Boots

If you live in the Bay Area like I do, you know a thing or two about rain. There are so many days where I get out of bed and it’s literally down pouring, and it sucks away all the motivation to wear anything remotely cute. Well, it seems I’ve found my solution! These Burberry boots are super stylish, a great color palate, and of course… water proof! And not to mention, they’ve got a really reasonable price tag!

Chelsea Crew Detour Lace-Up Boots

Chelsea Crew Detour Lace-Up Boots

This year I’ve really expanded my boot collection, but I’m still missing just the classic Oxford-style lace up boots. I love these by Chelsea Crew (no relation), because of the high top style, cognac color, and stacked heel. They’re not too high so they seem very walkable and all around perfect for both work or weekend wear. At less than $80, these boots are a great mid-range find.

Isaac Mizrahi New York ‘Amit’ Tall Boot

If you have larger calves, shopping for boots can be a nightmare. And when you finally find the shoe that fits, extra thought has to go into what pants you can wear with them that will actually fit comfortably tucked in the shaft of the boot. I love these dual material boots which are more forgiving on my enormous athletic calves, and especially this pair by Issac Mizrahi. In a traditional riding boot style, these boots feature a leather and textile upper that will stretch to fit your big muscular calves. While I haven’t tried them on in person yet, these already look like a winner with classic gold hardware and easy zip-up sides. I’ll take them in brown, please.

Jeffrey Campbell Hunter Stud Boot

The weather here doesn’t exactly adhere to what the position of the sun tells our section of the hemisphere to do during those things we call “seasons.” Summer in San Francisco is a bit like fall, so fall boots are already on my brain. These Jeffrey Campbell boots are a Free People exclusive style and I’m going to find it hard to pass these bad boys up.  The Hunter Stud Boot features an exaggerated tongue, oversized buckles, and huge flaps that are entirely stud-encrusted. What’s even cooler is these boots are actually studded by-hand, so I’d imagine each pair is slightly unique. I love the look of these edgy boots – they’re that attention-grabbing piece you’ll be glad you bought as they were released as limited edition.

Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita Platform Boots

Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Lita Platform Boots

The fashion community has quite the love-hate relationship with Litas, but the spiked version of Jeffrey Campbell’s iconic shoe is something we can’t keep quiet about. Taking the familiar shape of the Lita and blasting it with a powerdrill and finally plugging up with a handful of spikes and studs, this is something the crafty Chelsea would like to think she could DIY on her own, but this shoe is already perfect so why even bother? These platform lace-up boots are loud, proud and make quite the statement. More than Litas not being for everyone, the studded style is certainly not for the faint of heart. But if you like these, be sure to check out the pump version by Sam Edelman as well. Hands down, this is definitely a great statement shoe to have in your collection for many years and occasions to come.
