You guys, there’s just something about quilted leather that’s just so posh. Maybe it’s the association with iconic Chanel that just makes it an instant classic. This piece from indie clothing boutique, Always Mint Apparel,  has a contemporary take on quilted leather in this dress with criss-cross detail and sheer insets. Did I mention the fact that it’s also vegan leather? Meaning you get the look without the price tag and ethical concern. The store reminds me a lot of NastyGal and Motel Rocks, but at much more affordable prices. Plus, they’ve got a charity tie-in where a portion of each sale goes to help victims of abuse and human trafficking. So at only $41 for this killer frock, how can I say no?!

Have you ever seen a lace pattern so lovely? Somewhere between the retro days of classic pin-up starlets and the present, you find this sheer party frock by Pin-up Darling. Founded in 2011, Pin-up Darling is an indie clothing brand inspired by the charming ’40s and ’50s style era, yet still has a wearable vibe that fits with today. I’m pretty much in love with everything they carry, but this dress really caught my eye as one of the most unique designs from the brand. Since it is a crochet style, you will need to wear a slip underneath, but that’s where you can get creative with it. Layer it with a black slip for an elegant look, or a nude slip for a flirty boho look; either way you can reinvent it with accessories fit for each occasion. So many soirees, so little time!

p.s. it seems to be the perfect tunic length, so depending on your height, you could wear this as either a dress or top!

We don’t feature celeb looks on OMG all that often, but we just can’t get over how darling Miranda Kerr is in this prim sheath dress. This floral dress by Erdem is fit for both bridal showers on the veranda, brunches in the garden, and maybe even tea with the Queen. The intricate summery floral print has a mixture of black, blue, pink, and white that will beautifully compliment both silver and gold jewelry or accessories. While I don’t have the body of a VS Angel or runway model, I do think many body types can pull off fitted or tailored variations of the sheath dress, especially since the print is so busy. Obviously perfect for the day, but also fun for nigh whent edged up with bold accessories.

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect cat eye shades, and these tortoiseshell beauts have got to be the pair for me. I was always a classic black sunglasses kind of girl; never opting for much bling or embellishments. But lately, I’ve just been loving rich textures and classic patterns that have come and gone out of style over the past decades, iconic styles such as argyle, houndstooth, paisley, chevron, and of course, tortoiseshell. These frames have a dramatic lift at the corners for just the effect I’m going for that will look great with hair worn down or up. I also like that the lenses are plenty tinted; I never go for anything semi-sheer for personal style preference but also since my pupils are extremely sensitive to light. At $98, I think these sunnies are a bargain and even a justifiable cost if they end up being a trend I never return to. You never know… I might change my mind again in another few years.
