Boxy High Low Pullover Sweater

Boxy High Low Pullover Sweater

Sometimes, there’s nothing more comfy and cozy than a nice pullover sweater. I found this sweater in Tuesday’s Lookbook.nu & PacSun collaboration newsletter, and I was immediately drawn to this burgundy sweater as styled on Rachel-Marie Jones. Having not worn any Roxy clothing in quite some time (not counting the snowboard gear I own), I was surprised that this contemporary knit was from their line. It’s a light weight, crochet style knit that comes in several shades. With the high-low hem, this is the perfect knit to through over plain leggings tucked chunky socks and boots, or over a skirt or shorts in a layered look. How could you not find a place in your wardrobe for every single color?

Classic Movie Night Sweater

Classic Movie Night Sweater

Chilly winter nights have set in here in Northern California, and this weather calls for lots and lots of cozy sweaters. One style of sweater I particularly love are cowl necks and ones with 3/4 length sleeves for and overall relaxed yet finished look. In today’s edition of Modcloth Monday, I’ve picked a sweater perfect for both running weekend errands and a lazy night in (and the piece is aptly named so). But especially after Thanksgiving and the holidays and parties to come laden with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, I’m especially thankful for this sweater’s forgiving fit and loose lower hemline. I’d be even more thankful if I could have it in a few different colors (psst… Modcloth!).

Happy Cyber Monday!

Beside Yourself Top

Beside Yourself Top

Straying away from the typical pink or red-inspired pick on February 14th, Valentine’s Day or Singles Awareness Day, if you will, I’ve chosenĀ  classy piece with a slightly melancholy name. Whether you’re alone or accompanied today, you can stay snuggly, business casual and cute as a button in this heather grey sweater top from Gonsalves & Hall. From the bow draping down from the collar to the button-embellished cuffs, offset with a pair of skinnies and this is a Modcloth Monday must-have.
