‘Tis the season, and in my opinion there’s nothing that gets you in the festive spirt quite like a cheeky sweater. Call it an ‘ugly sweater’ if you must, this adorable bird holiday sweater has some silly charm that you won’t be taken too seriously in. The bright blue color is fun and not overdone around the holidays, unlike red and green. At the risk of sounding too Mary Kate and Ashley, I can’t help but love everything big and slouchy as fall approaches. It’s the best time of year to throw on an oversized snugly sweater, some fun accessories, and call it a day. This year I’m particularly excited about capes (don’t ask me why), and this super cute V Cape Sweater from Vince is top of my want list. Can’t you just imagine how good this would feel wrapped around you? It even has a bit of the trendy high low thing going. I think I could just about live in Wildfox jumpers, ponchos, and maxis, so here’s another one to add to the list: the Prairie Rose Sweater. The cozy knit pullover is frayed and distressed at the edges, yet is still the right amount feminine in this Georgia Peach shade. As it’s now on sale, this is definitely something I should scoop up for Bay Area “Indian summer” which is quickly approaching. I’m really into these lightweight vintage knits lately.

Obsession alert! Next to colorblocking, neons, fringe, high-low hems, and florals being particularly in this spring, I’d like to give a quick shout out to stripes which are equally just as fabulous. I love this cardigan by All Saints in a gorgeous heather beige and black color combo. In not exactly your typical Parisian-inspired stripe pattern, this is a classic cardi with a twist as you can pull and scrunch the drawstrings to drape it to your liking. Layer over a white tank and pair with bright denim and you have an instantly chic look. This is a neutral-toned piece that will be easy to wear many seasons to come, and it’s made of 100% cotton, so that’s why it’s an absolute must-have item for me.
