Ultima Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum

Ultima Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum

If you’ve never heard about the skin health benefits from using hyaluronic acid, you better listen up. Hyaluronic acid is a compound found in the skin to help us retain moisture, but as we age our body produces and contains less of it. To make up for this deficiency  you can take supplements or use hyaluronic acid-infused skin care products. ULTIMA Pure Swiss Hyaluronic Serum will give you a dose of this powerful humectant geared to help your skin keep a more youthful glow. Hyaluronic acid not only helps your skin retain moisture, but it also helps fight free radicals, prevent signs of aging, and promote radiance. Delivering it in serum is great because it can penetrate deep into the skin before your moisturizer and sunscreen are layered on top. It’s something someone of any age and skin type can incorporate into their routine. Plus, it’s a really affordable serum unlike the majority of those on the market.

Elizabeth Anne Shoes Purse n’ Boots Brown Walking Boots

Elizabeth Anne Shoes Brown Walking Boots

Classic tall riding boots are a shoe I could live in all year here in San Francisco. Even on the tail end of spring and the cusp of summer, we get some really odd freezing cold days where the coastal fog takes over and any stranger might think it was a typical day in February. And as a SF girl on the go, I also like carrying just my bare necessity items with me if I’m meeting up for drinks, dinner, or dessert with friends at night; you won’t catch me ever going out with a humongous purse. The same goes for when I’m out running errands; I find my purse just gets in the way and it’s one more thing to carry. That’s why when I found these boots by Canadian designer and entrepreneur Elizabeth Anne, I knew they were designed with the city girl in mind. These are innovative and stylish boots with slim pockets for your bare essentials built inside!

Scheduled for release this September, these classic brown leather riding boots with this innovative slim pocket feature are available for preorder now. The ‘European’ style boot, pictured above, features the designers signature “Purse n’ Boots” creation: a handy pouch in the shaft of the boot with slots for your credit card, passport, and smartphone. As in, it will work for iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, and Blackberry users! Made of a genuine cowhide leather, I just love the vintage finish these boots have. They’re not only practical, but very stylish! What’s also wonderful is that there are two calf sizes available  which few shoe manufacturers offer, ever. I think I will absolutely live in these when it comes to going out year-round in SF. Perfect for rocking with a dress, jacket, and you’re out the door… no purse needed!

Maison Scotch Silk Stripe Shirt

Maison Scotch Silk Stripe Shirt

When it comes to fashion for women, few things provide finer polish than a gorgeous blouse. This silk blouse by Maison Scotch is just that! Topped with ornate beaded epaulettes, this coral and white striped shirt is the piece to dress up plain denim and your favorite flats. This top can likewise pair perfectly with slacks or khakis for a more business casual look. More subdued masculine elements like the granddad collar, breast pocket, and buttons give it a more relaxed vibe, even though the top is made of silk. Coral and white is one of my favorite color combos for the warmer months so this is a top I could live in all summer long. Would look absolutely lovely worn with turquoise accessories or nails!

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser

La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser

We’re going to briefly talk about something not so glamorous here: acne. As someone who’s struggled with acne on and off for the greater part of my life, I can tell you it sucks. It really really sucks when you feel like you’ve invested over hundreds of dollars in skin care products and treatments that are suboptimal. They work kind of, sort of, for a little bit, then your acne pokes through again, and it comes back with a vengeance. It’s even worse when it’s that certain time of the month when your hormones are all out of whack, and you get a super painful pimple to deal with that you feel everyone honing in on. It’s hard to even look people in the eye for fear they might start staring at your acne.

So in short, I’ve been there and I know how bad it can be. That’s why I’m so glad I finally tried this gel cleanser by La Roche-Posay that has instantly cleared up my skin after just a few washes. The pores around my nose are noticeably less clogged and dark looking. The large painful pimples on my forehead and chin have diminished. Not to mention, my overall skin condition has improved 10-fold, and I’m having a lot of “good skin days” lately that I’ve never experienced before. It dries up acne without overdrying or stripping your skin of moisture. This is a cleanser totally worth trying if you’ve had it with acne!

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter

Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter

Since I’ve been showing a little more leg on vacation, and starting to self tan more regularly, I’ve made it a habit to moisturize my skin religiously every day as soon as I get out of the shower. Besides my 100% pure unrefined extra virgin coconut oil I apply at night, I use a lighter product that absorbs more quickly in the day and I’ve recently been stuck on Pacifica’s Body Butter in Tuscan Blood Orange. This is a fabulous natural product that contains high quality ingredients like shea butter, almond and safflower seed oil, and mango butter. The scent is absolutely strong, bright ,and citrusy, with subtle finishing notes of Madagascar vanilla. While this is a thick body butter, I find that it blends well over my legs and arms and doesn’t leave me waiting long to put on my clothes after application. Nourishing enough to be a daily hand cream and body moisturizer, I was using this product non-stop last week on my trip to Kansas City, where I was strutting a little more skin on the hot and humid Midwest days. I just love that this product is paraben-free, cruelty-free, and 100% vegan. Replacing it will be a breeze, too, because this product is thankfully carried at Target!
